About Pamukkale

A magical and spectacular natural site, unique in the world, Pamukkale is a fairyland of dazzling white, petrified castles. Thermal spring waters laden with calcareous salts running off the plateau’s edge have created this fantastic formation of stalactites, cataracts and basins.

The hot springs have been used since Roman times for their therapeutic powers. Both the thermal center with its motels and thermal pools and the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis are situated on the plateau.

Another thermal center northwest of Kuşadası, Karahayıt is known for its water’s high-iron content.

About Priene, Miletos and Didyma

PRIENE; was one of the most active ports of Ionian Federation making the site of particular interest, is the system of geometric city planning introduced in the 4th centry B.C. by Hippodamos of Miletos. The theater is the most interesting monument of Priene.

MILETOS; like Priene was a great Ionian port and the native land of several philosophers and sages. Most of the monuments at the site are badly ruined except for the theater and the baths of Faustina. The theater reconstructed during the Roman Period is an impressive building leaning against the slope of a hill.

DIDYMA; only possesses a single monument, but is nevertheless a marvelous site. The temple of Apollo was one of the most sacred places in antiquity; many times looted and burned. The sanctuary is still impressive and of and elegant beauty. The colossal Temple (measuring 180m by 60m) was surrounded by a portico of double colonnades.

Şirince is polular with its traditional 19th century village houses and streets and hand made fruit wines and winery hauses. Some of which have been converted into quest-houses. Wine is produced in this small hillside Turkish Village which it self resembles an open-air museum.

The Turkish bath experience is one not to be missed while you are in Turkey. You can easily fit one in before a night on the town or after a day on the beach. You can relax in the Hamam (Turkish word for the baths) and swill yourself with hot and cold water and then relax on the large heated slab in the middle while ridding your body of any impurities. Following that you will be scrubbed down with soap suds by a pair of expert hands.

Tour 9- Jeep Safari

About the Jeep Safari

The safari tour starts at 09:30 am. The Jeeps drive us from the hotels Davutlar. There we have a break of 15 minutes for buying fresh food. Then we start to climb. We make a stop near the ancient tombs, after climbing for an hour we arrive at the historic castle reaching the height of 1000 meters. After the visit of the castle we take the direction of monastery. There we have picnic lunch for about 1.5 hour. The jeep safari continues after lunch in the middle of wild forest and beautiful landscapes including a view over Samos island. The next visit is Zeus’ cave where you can take a bath. The spring water is very healthy because of its high density of minerals and sulfur. From there we go to the national park. According to the time there is break for taking a bath. At 18:00 pm. The tour ends returning back to the hotel.
